1. Algiers → Medea-Day One
SINOTRUK Algeria team departed from Algiers to Medea in order to solve trucks’ problems of a local company.Medea region, located in high altitude area, the weather changes unpredictably, local temperature is 6℃ lower than Algiers.Bad local environment and extreme hard condition made this task so difficult. After work, every two of them need to sleep in one bed. Some of them caught stomach flu because of the local food.On the second day after arriving, service team found out that the clutch disc was broken. Then, they spent one hour to finish the work.the truck problem was finally solved.
2. Mediya → Algiers → Ilizi-the next day
After repairing the trucks in Medea, there was no time left for our service team to rest, cause they received a new task:The local dealer’s service manager asked them to head south. The dealer informed that one customer there bought 5 units of our trucks, two of those had some problems with braking, they need service team to be there immediately cause the trucks was far from their campsite. Our service team decided to drive there and help the customers with the trucks.Ilizi is located in south Algeria, over 1200KM away from the capital, it’s kind of a remote place so our team could only choose the small propeller aircraft. After a long time of worry and jolt, they finally arrived safely. Then they were arranged in a small hotel by local police for safety reasons. And they need to keep going the next day.
3. Ilizi → Janet-day three
In the morning, they crossed the Jenette depopulated zone under polices’ protection.During the depopulated zone, their service vehicle blew two tires because there was many rocks on the road.It took them 8 hours to get to Jenette at 3 PM afternoon.Local police send the team to the military station directly. After one hour’s negotiation with border defence, the team got a chance to have a rest in a small local hotel. But this is not finished yet.The customer informed them that they still needed to go south for about 200KM.
4. Garnett → Anonymous-Day Four
The police were still with them. After dozens of kilometers, they found themselves in the Sahara, without any phone signal. After 300 kilometers, the police finally lead them to the military station at interior of the desert. After a short time of rest, two trucks of police kept going with our team.Magically, the Google map showed them the way without any signal in the desert. Finally they arrived a unknown place near Niger border, after all that journey, our team finally saw that 3 trucks in the desert. If it couldnt get repaired in time, it would effect the project schedule seriously. That place is too remote to get help from other trucks. But when the team was about to repair the trucks, the police just want them tp check the trucks quickly and go back to the military station as soon as possible.
Because of the policy, the foreigners cant stay in the military station,so they cant spent the night there. At last, they stopped at clients campsite. They slept in a container house without air condition, quilt ,even pillow. But what our team cared th most was the broken HOWO trucks. If it couldnt be fixed, then it was not worthy to make this journey, and it would effect our brand credibility.Next morning, the team went check the truck again, the trucks couldnt start because of the bad condition and lack of maintenance so that the injection nozzle couldnt work normally. After repairing, two of the trucks started normally, one of them was confirmed as oil pump fault. They contacted seller to air transport some parts for them.Through all the things that happened, when the drivers started the trucks again, they showed us a big smile with happiness and admiration in their eyes.
